I went to college near Yellowstone National Park and because of this I had my fair share of trips there. But, even though I went often, many times I wouldn’t see the Yellowstone Wildlife that I would have liked to. So I decided to give a guide on the Best way to see wildlife at Yellowstone National Park.

1. Get off the beaten path…

When you wander through the road system about the only thing you are bound to see is Buffalo. After the 347 one, it gets old. So, go on some of the hikes. This is where I have seen the most deer, elk, and yes even bears.

2. When you see a bunch of cars on the side of the road….join them

There is only one reason that people park along the side of the road at Yellowstone, to see animals.

3. If all else fails, don’t go home with a full camera chip….visit Yellowstone Bear World.

Right outside of yellowstone on the Idaho side, there is a reserve that you can drive through to see roaming bears, elk, deer, and wolves. They have all the best yellowstone wildlife and you can even (for a little extra) feed the bears from a truck. I have included a video so that you could see for your self.

If your in need of knowing the best way to heal cuts and scrapes then you are not alone. Last week I came out of a “floating down the rapids” trip that was really a “get cut up on the rocks” trip. So I needed to know a fast way to heal my cuts without losing a leg.

The Best Way To Heal Cuts And Scrapes

1. Clean

2. Treat

3. Cover

Healing Cuts is that easy….a simply 3 step process. But, For those who want more proof before they believe read on….1. Clean the cut to allow the wound to heal

If a wound is left open and unclean this is where infection sets in. If you are wondering if your cut is infected look and see if there is redness around the cut and a feeling of heat coming from the wound. If so, that is a pretty good sign that the cut is infected. To clean a cut you can use an antiseptic or even soap and water. A fast running tap is best as it will push any debris out of the scraped or cut area. Once your cut is clean…..

2. Treat the cut to allow the wound to heal

After the cut or scrape is clean, apply an anti-biotic to the surface. I am a fan of Neosporin simply because of the name. But, this will be what helps your cut to heal faster.

3. Protect the cut to allow the wound to heal

I was always told that you need to give the cut “air”. Well, I hate to say this but that is not the case. Think about it. You have Cleaned the cut and but a healing agent on it….now lets go play in the dirt! I think you would erase the good you did in the first two steps. So, what do you do know? Cover the cut with a band-aid. If you don’t have that use a cotton ball and tape. The cut just needs to be protected from infection and given time to heal. You do have to change band aids often though.

And that is it. Now you know the best way to heal a cut or a scrape. How long does it take? That depends on the person and the severity of the cut. Just remember if you pick at it…the cut will take longer to heal.

I saw a diaper cake for the first time the other day and I thought to myself…..who in the world came up with that idea? So, I looked into to diaper cakes a little and realized that they are many different ways and types of cakes to make. So, I decided to find the best way to make a diaper cake and share it with loyal “How To” Blog readers. So, sit back rob the baby room of about 50 diapers and get ready to make a cake out of the last thing you should ever make a cake with…..diapers.

What you will need

1. 50 Newborn Diapers

2. Clear Hair Rubber Bands

3. Scissors

4. Double Sided Sticky Tape

5. Large Rubber Bands

6. Ribbon to wrap the cake

7. Two 8oz Baby Bottles

8. Decorations to go around the Diaper Cake – Curly Ribbon or Flowers

9. Circle piece of Cardboard to carry your cake on or a round platter

I am going to include a video for those who would rather watch how to make a diaper cake instead of reading…

Directions For How to Make The Best Diaper Cake

The first step would be to roll out each of the diapers in such a way, so that only the white portion is visible. After rolling each diaper, tie it with a rubber band. Each of the diaper would resemble like a rolled up diploma.

To prepare the base, take a cardboard box and cut out a circle or a rectangular shape. Make sure it is large enough so that you can place your diaper cake on it.

Now, wrap the cardboard with a silver foil paper and securely tape the empty paper towel rod to the middle of the cake plate.

To make the bottom layer of the cake, take 5 rolled up diapers and place them longitudinally near the paper towel rod. Once this inner ring is done, assemble 10 more diapers and place them around the first ring. With this, the middle ring is also done. Now, gather 15 more diapers and circle them around the two rings to complete the bottom layer.

Once all the diapers have been placed, tie the entire layer with the gross grain ribbon. Make sure that the ribbon hides the rubber band that has been tied to each diaper. Also, cut the ribbon long enough so that it forms a bow.

Now, start with the middle layer of the cake. For this, take 5 diapers and place them near the paper towel rod, same as that done in the bottom layer of the cake. Once the innermost ring is done, take 10 diapers and place them to form a second ring or middle ring.

After the diapers have been placed in the middle layer, tie them with a ribbon and make a bow in the end. Make sure that all the rubber bands get covered with the ribbon.

You can either just stop here and jump to the next step or go ahead and make a third layer. For making a third layer, take 5 diapers and make a ring. Tie this ring with a ribbon and make a bow at the end.

After all the layers have been done, tuck baby toiletries, rattlers, toys, pacifiers, new-born socks or other small gifts in layers. Gently tuck all the gifts in the middle of the diapers and in between the tiers.

Making a budget and sticking to it is one of the hardest things that a person can do. But, it is one of the fastest ways to success and financial freedom so sit back, get out a pen (or get ready to copy and paste) and learn how to make a budget in a few easy steps

1. Start with the things you have.

Open up your bank account and empty your pockets. Your budget has to start with what you have right now. Not last year, not in a few months. Write down the number that you have.

2.Build an Excel Sheet or write a Finincial Statement Sheet To Start Tracking

Because I am feeling genourous I cleared the Excel Sheet I built my budget around and am giving it to you! BudgetTemplate

Look at this list and see what things are necessities for yourself. Good Luck!!

Food. When you have food in your belly, you live to fight another day.

Utilities. Should you keep the lights on? Make sure you’re budgeting for electricity and water even as you work to perfect your credit score. “Utilities” also includes insurance payments (renters, homeowners, life insurance, etc.).

Housing (rent or mortgage). Watch that you don’t fall behind on your mortgage.

Transportation costs (gas, car payment, car insurance). You can’t get to work if the car’s been repo’d.

Clothing. This is not an excuse to get the latest $400 pumps. The clothing budget — especially when you’re trying to pay down debt — should only be for the essentials.

Health. Most of us have copay and deductibles to meet, so we need to anticipate those medical payments that are not covered by insurance.

After the necessities for living — food, utilities, shelter, transportation, clothing and health — are covered, anything left over is called “discretionary income”. This can be used to to get rid of debt (or at least those pesky monthly minimums), to invest for long term financial goals, or to spend at will. For additional ideas, here’s how to budget your money by using a simple system.

3. Budget as a team! The Nerd vs. The Free Spirit

In every relationship, there’s a nerd — someone who absolutely loves spreadsheets and budgets and numbers — and a free spirit — the one who absolutely chafes at the thought of being constrained by the dreaded “B” word.

4. Make allowances in your budget and pace your spending.

It’s very likely that your first budget will not work. To be realistic, consider allocating a little more to your budget categories. Unless you are literally living on Top Ramen, $100 for food will not work. Dave Ramsey recommends that until you get the hang of things, over-budget (or create a bigger budget than you think you’ll need) for your first few monthly plans. Being realistic about what you can afford and pacing your spending well throughout the month should help you avoid dining on fast food and leftovers by month’s end.

5. Budget for emergencies.

Dave Ramsey suggests that you have an emergency fund of $1000 that is accessible but not spendable for non emergency things. This is a must. Trust me. After this, start working on a 3-6 month emergency fund. Maybe you wont need it, but someone you love will.

6. Talk about your money.

Budgets generally fail because people don’t talk. Make sure you and your partner talk often and get on the same page with what is going on with your money and where you are.

Remember!!! Wealth is the difference between what you make and what you spend. Who is richer? a man who makes 1 million and spends 1 million and 1 dollar, or a man who makes 10 dollars and spends 1?
